This Amazing Journey: The Beginning

Every new project has a story behind it. Well, let me share with you in a few paragraphs (I promise not to overwhelm you with a lot of information) about the beginning of this journal.

Last September, I was invited by my regional advisor to the training with the four national advisors on the new English curriculum. While being there I have to admit I was really excited that we were finally going to have something that I think is good (we can talk about reasons later).

The training ended, we went on and trained some teachers in San José Central and the school year was over.

January 20, I got an email from national advisor Ana Isabel Campos and a letter from the US Embassy saying I had been chosen to take this course on Educational Leadership and asking: "Would you be interested?" Well, for those of you who know me, I always say yes to challenges and new opportunities, and that is exactly what I did.

To my surprise, a week before the course I got another email from Mary Scholl from Centro Espiral Maná (a beautiful, cozy place in Peñas Blancas de San Isidro de San Ramón) with a pre-course assignment and right there I found out that the course has to do not only with Ed Leadership, but also blogging. My prediction was confirmed upon arriving at the Centro: We (nine of us) were taking a course on Educational Leadership and writing strategies so that we could start our own blog...

Well... as I mentioned before, NO is a word that seldom appears into my vocabulary when it comes to opportunities and I decided to accept the challenge; anyways, I had been wanting to begin my own blog since many years ago and this time I had no excuse since it was the core of the whole course.

Since I promised to make it short, let me finally tell you that this experience has been so enriching both professionally and personally that I just want to keep on writing, and clustering, and blogging.

To finish, I just want to promise you all, I will do my best to share my experiences in the class with the new curriculum, as well as materials I use and activities I make that might (or might not) be useful for you.

I'll strive to write one post every week and do regular updates to the other sections; some of them still under construction.

If you do not want to miss the chance to accompany me in this journey, remember to suscribe and let's change the world together!
